Fruit Salad

More sweeties that are called salad! More vitamins! My god am I a health junkie.

Take (for about 4 small bowls):

  • 1 banana
  • 2 kiwi fruits
  • 2 small oranges
  • 2 small apples
  • depending on sweetness of fruit: juice of up to 1/2 lemon + up to 1 pck. vanilla sugar
  • the most important thing, don’t skip this by any means: 1-2 tablespoons of peach liqueur
  • raisins! according to taste… so, many
  • if you want: some chopped dried apricots
  • also if you want: fancy extra fruit (mango, peach, persimmon… be careful with frozen raspberries, they color the whole thing pink!)

Skin and chip the fruit, mix all ingredients and leave it alone for about half an hour, then there’s the next sweet dessert waiting for you. Pro advice: buy a bigger pack of raisins next time.

There aren’t that many raisins in such a little bag…”

Carrot-Apple-Salad

This time for a change a somewhat healthy recipe favorite – at least it’s called “salad” and somewhere there are surely three and a half vitamins hiding in there.

Take (for about 4 small bowls):

  • 3 big carrots (or 4 smaller ones)
  • 2 apples
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 pck. vanilla sugar
  • 2 tablespoons oil; if incidentally available: some pineapple juice
  • raisins! according to taste… so, many

Skin the carrots and apples, grate them roughly and instantly drizzle lemon juice on the grated apples. Add oil, juice, sugar and raisins and mix it. Leave it alone for about half an hour, then you get the perfectly sweet mock-salad. In case there are any carrots left over: pony feeding! Yay!

Banana Pancakes – take: 2 very ripe bananas, 1 egg, 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 cup flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt, some milk.

As promised, here’s the first candidate of my favorite food. (Enough for 1 hungry person.)

Mash or blend bananas, then add other ingredients to the mixture. Take just so much milk to make it runny enough for pouring it into the pan (should be about half a cup). Bake in margarine until the pancakes are golden.

A banana pancake is best when eaten with your fingers while it’s still warm.
